Day 1 - May 1

UMMMMMMM.... U NEED TO WORK ON UR GIFT. UR TALENT. I DON'T KNOW WHAT UR WAITING FOR!!!

i can still here this ringing in my head after my response to moms was "no i won't be auditioning for Xfactor! i'm just not ready". i mean literally i'm not ready at all. and then it dawned on me that i have ran from every opportunity of a vocal audition ever since I bombed one more than 3 yrs ago in college. see i was part of a committee in school that was putting on an evening of vocal performances, and i had this brilliant idea that i was going to audition for this. except (hold on to your horses) i didn't really practice for the audition. so come the day, i got up there and made a fool of myself in front of my instructor, my classmates, and worst of all my best friend who was on the auditioning panel YIKES!!!!!! and best-to-believe ever since that day my bestie doesn't let me forget it. so after stumbling upon this opportunity and pondering "should i, shouldn't i', and running that irritating line uttered from my mom i decided for once she was right: I needed to get back on track.
which brings me to today. be it the first day, i woke up and was like 'how in the world am i gonna get 30min of a daily vocal exercise in. with a snap of a finger i went to the full-voice website in search for an answer, and found the daily vocal exercise, VOILA there it was!!!! i immediately purchased it. and as i reeled with excitement (and cringed at my first 30 min practice) i dove into the ups and downs of what looks like the beginning of an interesting adventure. what i immediately love about this program is that its sooooo thorough. after i was done i felt like doing it all over again, except i had to get ready for work, drab.com :(

so on to the next day. tomorrow i have a full schedule as usual: am-gym, midday-vocal practice, evening-work. this week is going to be a roller coaster as i balance what i love to do with what's paying the bills right now. i'm in the midst of looking for a new job, my dance company has performances coming up, and i'm adding some intense dance classes to my schedule. talk about being busy. hopefully i find the common ground. we'll see though, and i'll definitely keep ya posted.

cheers
